Hello! My name is Ellie Hasbargen, a tattoo apprentice based out of Missoula, Mt. At a time in my life where not much made sense tattoos found their way into my life. Tattoos gave me a way to express myself when I didn’t have the words to. They brought happiness to places on my body I couldn’t find love for at the time. This amazing art form brought me back to myself after years of being lost. It felt a bit like patu (fate) the way tattoos changed the course of my life. Patu comes from Euskara, the language of the Basque Country. My family originates from the northern region of Spain known as the Basque Country. The Basque culture has a rich and deep history that has been held back from history books. Their language has no known origin or relation to any other language. It’s a mysterious and mystical culture that I truly enjoy learning about. I’ve felt a deep connection to that part of my heritage and hope to build and grow off that connection as I step into my tattoo career as Patu Tattoo.

I have the unique opportunity to learn from the same artist that helped me find that love for tattooing. A few years ago the very talented Megan Halvorson, who has done all of my tattoos (except my first one), gave me the opportunity to learn how to tattoo. Since then I’ve been working on finding my style as an artist and practicing with a tattoo machine on fake skin, myself, and some of my family members. In late August 2024 I began taking clients and working on real skin! It’s been such an incredible journey learning this craft and I can’t wait to see what else this career has to offer. My goal as an apprentice is to help my clients feel more comfortable in their body by adorning it with art. I believe tattoos can help us learn more about ourselves and connect with energies we wish to call into our lives. Working together we can create some beautiful imagery to accomplish that! Pricing
$120/hour

To book an appointment I also require a $50 deposit.
This will go towards the final price of your tattoo unless the appointment is canceled or rescheduled within 48 hours of the appointment date. (emergency situations can be dealt with on a case by case basis) if you need to reschedule please don’t hesitate to reach out. If the appointment is rescheduled within the 48 hr window another deposit will be required to secure rebooked appointment. If the appointment is rescheduled outside the 48 hr window the original deposit can be rolled over to rebooked appointment. Deposits can be paid through Venmo to @PatuTattoo Final payments must be made in cash.
